I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Old Dominion University with a concentration in Graphic Design, and I worked on my Master of Fine Arts (Terminal Degree) at the New York Institute of Technology-Manhattan with a major in Computer Graphics-Graphic Design.
Additionally, I received my Master of Arts in Interior Architecture & Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in May 2023.
Professional Experience:
I was employed by an advertising company called VistaGraphics, Inc. As a graphic artist, I was in charge of designing ads and editorial pages for clothing stores, exhibition sites, hotels, museums, and restaurants. All of these ads, for example an ad for Days Inn Hotel and for Ben and Jerry’s Ice-cream, were published in Hampton Roads Magazine, and Visitors Guide magazines in various states. After a year of working with VistaGraphics, I reached a lead designer position where I was responsible for designing magazines of the company as the ones mentioned above; I was in charge for designing the whole layouts of the publications including the designs of the ads.
Later on, I was employed by Flight Centre USA/Liberty Travel as a web/graphic designer. I was responsible for high-level design and implementation of various aspects of the online presence of the company, such as web user interface design, mobile sites, page layouts, promotional landing pages email campaigns, banners, newsletters, social media, and print pieces.
At Drape Kings, I worked as a creative director. I was in charge of designing the company’s website and keeping it updated, creating and executing all marketing and product collateral, print materials, advertising campaigns (both print and digital), catalogs and brochures, HTML e-mails as well as other projects and materials.
In my past work experience, I have designed ePubs, websites, ads, animated projects, mobile applications, calendars, logos, magazines, product packages, posters, and stationeries. I am well versed in Adobe XD, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Autodesk REVIT (for architecture projects) software, and HTML/CSS coding. Also, I am very familiar with WordPress, and using websites/programs such as Constant Contact and Mail Chimp.
I have been using computers almost all my life. Therefore, I consider my skills to be excellent in both Mac and PC operating systems.
